Corps de Ballet

Emma Everts grew up in Los Alamitos, California and started dancing at 3 years old at Orange County Dance Center. She attended summer programs at Joffrey Ballet, Ballet West, Oklahoma City Ballet, and Milwaukee Ballet. 

At age 17, she joined Rolando Yane's pre-professional training program at Milwaukee Ballet. The season after, she joined Milwaukee Ballet II for 2 seasons. With Milwaukee Ballet, she performed in Michael Pink's Nutcracker, Milwaukee Ballet II's show, Momentum, and various community outreach shows around the city of Milwaukee. 

Currently, she is studying to receive her Bachelor's in health science and is a certified Pilates instructor. 

Emma is overjoyed and grateful to start her first season with Ballet Pensacola for the 2022-2023 season!

“When I dance, I feel a large amount of gratitude and joy. I understand what a gift it is to have the ability in my body to move and dance every day, and I never want to take it for granted. Something that I love about dance is there is always work to be done and I love the challenge that brings.”

Favorite Role Danced: Principal Robotics Engineer for Milwaukee Ballet II community outreach shows 

Dream Role: Any George Balanchine ballet :) 

Favorite Choreographer: George Balanchine 

Favorite Traditional Ballet: Romeo & Juliet or La Bayadere 

Favorite Cuisine / Dish: Chips & Guacamole 

Favorite Hobby: I really enjoy being outside, exploring nature, hiking,  etc. I love to cook and try out new recipes. Also, I love practicing Pilates  and trying different ways to be active and move my body! 

Fun Fact About Me: I'm a certified Pilates instructor and am going to school to obtain my Bachelor's in health science. I want to be  a nurse for senior citizens one day and eventually open my own senior community center. 

What Would You Like the Audience/Community to Gain from Your Performances: From my performance, I want to show an authentic range of emotions and hope that they feel the same way I do. I want them to find dance exciting and to leave with a sense of inspiration. I believe that dance is for everybody's body- whether their age or ability, and I hope to inspire dance in their own lives.
