Registration for 2021-22 classes is open! Ballet Pensacola has 3 divisions of dance training. Please look to the classes below to learn more about the division that is right for you or your student! Once you've decided, please complete this REGISTRATION FORM and log in to your parent portal. Please feel free to call the Ballet Pensacola office, should you have any questions.
Ballet Pensacola's dance classes are open to all students meeting minimum age requirements. Ballet Pensacola accepts students without regard to sex. race, religion, national origin, or disability. The organization reserves the right to cancel any classes not meeting minimun enrollment requirements. Students and families will be notified of cancelled or rescheduled classes.
Annual tuition is divided into ten equal payments charged monthly. (Monthly tuition is the fee shown in this document.) Tuition payments are due the first of each month. A $20 late fee will be assessed after the 10th of each month and for returned checks. Payments may be made by cash, check or credit card (Mastercard, Visa or Discover). Tuition may be automatically charged by credit card each month by request. Tuition and fees are non-refundable.
Students enrolled in multiple classes in the Children's Division receive a 25% discount on the second class.
Have multiple dancers in your family? The second sibling is given a $50 annual discount ($5 per month).
In the case of inclement weather, Ballet Pensacola follows the Escambia County District school closure schedule.
Ages 3-6. Students must be 3 years of age by Sept. 1, 2021 to enroll in the Children's Division. The Children's Division is a syllabus-driven class designed to develop skills in basic movement, coordination, memorization, artistic expression, and teamwork. All students in the Youth Division must be potty trained and able to use the restroom on their own.
Ages 7+. Students must be 7 years old by Sept. 1, 2020 to enroll in the Training Division. The Training Division provides formal dance training through a graduated system of study that encompasses classical ballet, contemporary movement, and jazz technique. Training Division classes are taught by Academy Director, Debi Janea. All students that qualify for Training Division may require an evaluation class to determine the most appropriate Tech Level placement.
The Community Division is designed for the more casual dancer, with classes focused on providing recreation and exercise. Please note that Community Division students will not be eligible to audition for the performing company.

The Ballet Pensacola Youth Division teaches the fundamentals of dance in a fun environment. Designed for children ages 3 - 6, the Children's Division will develop skills in basic movement, coordination, memorization, artistic expression and teamwork. Each class features warm-ups, barre training, across-the-floor activities and concludes with an opportunity for "free dance expression." The Ballet Pensacola Academy is guided by a syllabus which provides monthly focus areas and milestones. The syllabus also ensures that Children's Division students will move seamlessly into the Training Division at age 7. Students attend Creative Dance or Pre-Ballet once per week and are placed by their age as of September 1, 2019. Please note that students who enroll in Tap/Jazz class must also be enrolled in Creative Dance or Pre-Ballet.
The Ballet Pensacola Training Division provides formal dance training for students beginning at age 7. The Training Division is syllabus-driven, taking students through a graduated sytem of study that encompasses classical ballet, contemporary movement, and jazz technique. Each new level of training demands further commitment and physicality from the students. Training Division classes are led by Academy Director, Debi Janea and by the highly qualified faculty of Ballet Pensacola. Students must be age 7 by September 1, 2019 to enter Tech 1. Older students with prior experience will take an evaluation class to determine appropriate class placement.
The Ballet Pensacola Community Division is designed for the more casual dancer with classes focused on providing recreation and exercise. Whether you are rekindling your passion for dance or you want to learn your first steps, the Community Division has something for everyone. Tap Dance is offered for beginners. Please note that Community Division students will not be eligible to audition for The Nutcracker or the performing company.
