Community Outreach

Outreach Programs

At Ballet Pensacola, we strive to elevate our community through high-quality dance training and outstanding performances. Just as importantly, we are committed to ensuring that the joy and beauty of ballet are accessible to everyone, regardless of age, background, or experience. Our outreach initiatives reflect this mission in action. From performing excerpts of our productions in local schools, to welcoming homeschool groups and senior centers into our dress rehearsals, we are passionate about bringing dance beyond the traditional stage. We proudly participate in free public events like Gallery Night and community festivals, and we continue to expand our reach through touring performances that bring the magic of ballet to new audiences.

As the ballet world continues to evolve, Ballet Pensacola remains committed to progress, with diversity, equity, and inclusion at the heart of all we do.

School Partnerships

Ballet Pensacola is proud to offer classes to young students at two additional locations this season through their after-school programs! These classes are designed to provide young dancers that may not be able to make it to our main studios access to Ballet Pensacola's top-tier training. This also opens opportunities for these students to dance with us in our yearly productions and student showcase.

Our partnerships this year include:

  • Creative Learning Academy
3151 Hyde Park Rd, Pensacola, FL 32503

  • Episcopal Day School
    223 N Palafox St, Pensacola, FL 32502

  • Montessori School of Pensacola
    1010 N 12th Ave, Pensacola, FL 32503
4100 Montessori Dr, Pensacola, FL 32504

Scholarships

Ballet Pensacola is proud to offer approximately $15,000 annually in financial assistance each year. Our staff has developed unique scholarships in order to provide quality dance education to all children within the Pensacola and surrounding communities. We as an organization believe it is important to reach as many children as possible and bring the art of dance into their lives regardless of financial status, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, etc.

  • Dance Chance Scholarships

    • 3 Awarded Annually
Created to offer access to dance training for students who demonstrate financial need, these scholarships provide 50 percent tuition assistance for students enrolled in the Ballet Pensacola Training Division. Financial need is assessed using family financial status, tax returns, and household income. Dance Chance assistance is provided for one year, and students must reapply each year.

  • The Ballet Pensacola Annual Merit Scholarship

    • The Ballet Pensacola Merit Scholarship was originally created to honor formative members of the organization. Continuing in this tradition, the Ballet Pensacola artistic staff awards one student each year who demonstrates exemplary dedication, behavior, talent, potential, and overall attitude throughout their daily classes and performances. Merit Scholarship awards are provided for one year, and there is no application process for this scholarship.
