Academy Attire
Appropriate dancewear supports safe, focused training and allows instructors to see each dancer’s alignment and movement clearly. Each class has designated attire to ensure students arrive prepared to participate fully. Please review the requirements for your dancer’s level before purchasing dancewear.
*All Class Leotards Must Have the Ballet Pensacola Logo.
*This dress code does not apply for our Summer Camps.
Pre-Primary Division Classes
Girls: Pink single strap leotard, pink tights, full sole pink ballet shoes.
Boys: Solid white t-shirt, black pants, shorts, or tights, black full sole ballet shoes.
*This includes Creative Dance classes.
Training Division Classes
Primary 1-3: LIGHT BLUE single strap leotard, Pink tights, Pink ballet slippers
Level 1-2: LAVENDER leotard, Pink tights, Pink ballet slippers
Level 3-4: ROYAL BLUE leotard, Pink tights, Pink ballet slippers
Level 5-6: BLACK leotard, Pink tights, Pink ballet slippers
Modern: Class color leotard, black tights, neutral color socks
Boys: Solid white t-shirt, black pants, shorts, or tights, black ballet shoes (full or split sole).
*All students in the Training Division are required to have hair in a neat bun that pulls hair completely off the face and stays up through the duration of class.
Performance Opportunities
Ballet Pensacola’s annual production of The Nutcracker offers Academy students the opportunity to take part in a cherished community performance tradition. Fully registered students ages 6 and older are eligible to audition, with auditions held each August/September.
For students selected to perform, rehearsals and performances offer an experience of working toward a shared production alongside fellow dancers. An $80 production fee applies to each student appearing in the performance.
The Nutcracker
Opportunities for Academy students to participate in Ballet Pensacola’s spring production vary from year to year. Audition eligibility and available roles depend on the production’s artistic needs, age requirements, and venue.
We announce audition details in advance in the first month or two of the new year on our website and social media channels. Families are encouraged to check both for current information.
Spring Production
The Student Showcase brings our Academy community together at the close of the school year to celebrate each dancer’s progress. All Pre-Primary Division Creative Dance, Pre-Primary 1–2, Primary 1–3, Satellite School Students, and Training Division Levels 1–3 are eligible to perform.
For many students, the Showcase is a memorable opportunity to step onto a larger stage and share what they have learned with family and friends. It is a chance to see their growing technique, confidence, and artistry come to life in performance.
