An evening can transport us. A photograph can draw us into another place; a meal can invite us to linger there. Music can change the rhythm of a room. And dance can give form to feelings that words cannot quite reach.
This season, Ballet Pensacola brings those experiences together for En Pointe: A Night in Spain, our annual celebration of the people whose generosity makes our work possible. Presented by the Speaks Foundation, this exclusive evening invites sponsors to experience the arts in conversation with one another, culminating in a production created for the occasion by Ballet Pensacola.
The evening opens with a gallery of curated imagery inspired by Spain. Guests will have time to explore the collection, follow its visual threads, and settle into the atmosphere of the night. The gallery is an invitation to look closely and to carry a sense of curiosity into everything that follows.
At dinner, Chef Darian Hernandez of Brother Fox will bring his culinary perspective to the table. Food has a way of making an occasion personal: it draws people together, starts conversations, and becomes part of what they remember long after the evening has ended. Wine pairings and a guided tasting by Alex the Wine Hunter of Gulf Coast Wine will add another dimension to that experience, inviting guests to discover how a carefully chosen wine can bring forward something new in a dish.
Roman Street will provide the evening’s musical entertainment. Their performance will give guests another way to enter the spirit of A Night in Spain, carrying the celebration from the intimacy of dinner toward its final artistic moment.
That moment belongs to Ballet Pensacola. The evening will culminate in an exclusive production by our dancers, bringing the artistry at the heart of our organization into focus. Every performance begins long before an audience takes its seat: in the daily work of the studio, in the trust between artists, and in the countless choices that turn movement into meaning. En Pointe offers our sponsors the pleasure of experiencing the result in a setting created especially for them.
The occasion also gives us a chance to recognize what sponsorship makes possible throughout the year. It supports the professional dancers who bring ambitious productions to our stages. It helps create opportunities for students in our Academy to develop their technique, confidence, and artistic voices. It allows Ballet Pensacola to welcome guest artists, deepen community connections, and continue building an organization whose reach extends well beyond a single performance.
Our supporters make an investment in what Ballet Pensacola can become. As we look toward our 50th anniversary, the enduring strength of our endowments is part of that vision. They represent a commitment to the artists still to come, the children who have yet to discover dance, and the audiences who will make Ballet Pensacola part of their own traditions.
En Pointe: A Night in Spain is one night to enjoy exceptional company and an experience shaped with care. It is also a chance to see the living result of a shared commitment to the arts. We look forward to welcoming our sponsors for an evening of imagery, cuisine, wine, music, and dance, and to celebrating the future we are creating together.
